Conjunctival injury: Eyelid swelling can be on the inner surface of upper eyelid. If you feel swelling but can't se it in the mirror, may be the inner surface of upper eyelid is irritated. Entire eye, including the inner surface of eyelid is covered by "conjunctivae" which is a protective membrane that protects eye and an injury/irritation to this membrane can cause feeling of swelling/irritation.
