Relax: While the incubation time for rabies can sometimes be prolonged, its not going to take 16 years. If this was your family dog and it wasn't behaving erratically and didn't itself die within weeks of biting you, then it didn't have rabies

Really unlikely...: Although the incubation period of rabies varies, 16 years is much longer than one would expect to start showing symptoms if they were exposed to rabies. Did your dog even have rabies? Please try to relax. If you are having symptoms that concern you, discuss them with your physician but I can say with confidence that rabies contracted from a dog bite 16 years ago is not the cause.

Don't worry: if you have had rabies at age 9, and now you are 25 yrs old, you didn't catch the disease. have a life, good luck
