No harm done: The actual shelf life of Pepto-Bismol is a lot greater than what is indicated by the expiration date. Old Pepto Bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) may lose some of its efficacy, but there are no other significant untoward effects.

Probably not: But best to check with your doctor who knows your medical conditions and other meds that you may take. More importantly, why are you taking it a few times a week and are you masking a medical problem that warrants attention or evaluation.

Generally yes.: Apart from Aspirin hypersensitivity, the only major issues with normal doses are discolored (black) stools, potential constipation (it is used for diarrhea).

Expired pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate): This is always a question - as long as the solution when shaken mixes well then its okay. INmany countries of the world expired medication is commonly used without any problem its only in the USA its frowned upon - its called FDA and making money.
