Neuropathy: hi, It seems you have some sort of nerve inflammation, it could just simply be due to a tight footwear, injury to the nerve, poor circulation like in Diabetes or irritation of nerve in your lower back or nervier damage because of Diabetes. Please work with your MD to find the cause for your numbness.

Bunion treatment: The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons suggest patient's try conservative therapy before surgical referral. Conservative therapy includes wider shoes, orthotics to improve support, night splinting, stretching, shoe pads, ice, or taking tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen (if you don't have a contraindication). If these things do not help alleviate your pain, you might need a surgical referral.
