Likely irritation: Likely mild irritation from the acidity in tomatoes. If that's the case it should go away rather fast. If it does not, it might not be related to eating tomatoes and I suggest you let your doctor know and start looking for other symptoms, fever, etc as well as changes in tooth paste, rinse, etc.
