Consult OB: Please consult your obstetrician at your earliest. ER looks at issues that may pose immediate risk but not long term issues. If you do not have an OB, contact the nearest planned parenthood office, they help women with all reproductive issues (not just provide abortions!)

A little: Bleeding in early pregnancy is always worrisome; however, if baby is fine on ultrasound, baby will probably be OK. Bleeding in early pregnancy can sometimes happen as the placenta grows and unroofs new spiral arteries in the uterine wall. As long as a clot doesn't form under the placent this doesn't harm the baby but it can be very frightening. Best wishes!
