Most likely pimple: Herpes actually looks like a small blister, not a pimple. Showering can increase blood flow to skin and area of pimple (or any skin lesion for that matter) and change it's appearance. If pimple, try acne cream on it twice a day and should begin to shrink and go away, If still there in a week or getting bigger, have it checked. Hope this helps. Dr R

Pimple: Where is the bump? Is it full of fluid or is it firm? Does it recur in the same place? Herpes occurs in clusters at point of contact (oral or genital) or along nerves (dermatomal). When you take a shower, you are changing your body temperature temporarily which alters the blood supply & color of the skin. Your bump is most likely an acne comedone (whitehead). Your pcp can help diagnose it better.
