There are other causes of heavy bleeding between periods such as hormonal balance. Anyone who sexually active particularly having unprotected sex is highly likely to become pregnant. Confusing...: That is confusing and frustrating. Irregular, early periods can be a sign that you are not ovulating. Some women spot after they ovulate and this can be confused with a period. You might want to see your Gyn and clarify what is happening. Best wishes!

This is quite typica: Average is about 5 months of trying before successful pregnancy. Furthermore, we now believe that a significant number of fertilized eggs have chromosomal abnormalities so bad, that the pregnancy doesn't continue for more than a few days.... possibly giving a "heavy period". Cannot say in your particular case.
