A member asked:

Constant flu symptoms but normal blood work, could a recent spinal tap have triggered fibromyalgia or something else?

Spinal tap: A spinal tap (lumbar puncture) will not trigger the flu or fibromyalgia. Additional imaging tests and blood work may provide answers to the flu-like symptoms. See your medical doctor.

Doubtful: I don't think a spinal tap would trigger these symptoms. Did you have the spinal because you were having headaches or other neurological symptoms? If so then I would attribute the flu-like symptoms to the illness and not the tap. Have you had your bloodwork checked? First place to start trying to feel better is your diet - cut out all "white" or processed foods; eat 5-6 small meals a day.
