How long should steri-strip stay on a cut which is about 3cm long, will strips fall by themselves, and can it get wet? thank you.

7 days: The steri-strips are usually placed to keep the edges of a wound together so that healing takes place minimizing scar.You should keep the area clean and dry for 3 days covering it with a clean gauze. After three days you can take the bandage off and even wet the wound in the shower avoiding bath, pool or beach. The steri-strips will fall on themselves in approximately 7 days better not to peel

Steri-strip: steri-strips often fall by themselves and you should keep them clean and dry to give your cut a better chasnce to heal without complications. They should stay about 5-7 days.

Steri strips: If the steri strips were placed to hold a laceration together, you need to treat them as sutures (stitches). Keep them clean and dry. They will fall off on their own in about 1 week.
