Contact your MD: If you do have a contact allergy to the steri-strip then it has to come off but then the skin at your c-section wound will open increasing the risk of infection and a big scar. Contact your ob-gyn to diagnose the condition and if it is contact allergy versus, for example, an infection, then an alternate method of skin closure can be provided if needed.

Removal & avoidance: If you have developed a delayed (contact) dermatitis to the adhesive or other chemical component in the steristrip, removal and replacement with some other means of closure is optimal treatment. Symptomatic treatment would be topical or if severe enough oral corticosteroids. Patch or delayed hypersensitivity skin testing could be used to try to id the offending chemical(s) for. Future avoidance.
