Communication...: Everyone has different desires from a relationship. Be 100% okay with yourself. Co-dependency is relying on someone to make you be "okay" and ultimately isn't very appealing to a partner ("needy" can push someone away). I suggest working on you, not worrying about him. You may find that his attention increases if you no longer "need" him - and if it doesn't it matter because you will be happy.
