Could happen sooner!: Even though the FDA has approved Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) for contraceptive benefit of 3 months, it slowly leaves the body. The return to normal baseline menses and ovulatory function may take up to 6-12 months after the last shot in some patients. The best natural predictor of ovulatory status (and therefore the ability to get pregnant) is resumption of normal regular menses. You could get pregnant sooner!
