It's possible: It might take up to a year (or more) to get regular periods back. The reason is that ovulation can be delayed after the Depo-Provera shot. However, there is no way to know when ovulation might occur. Once you ovulate, you'll get a period 2 weeks later, unless you get pregnant. So if you don't wish to get pregnant, use some type of birth control.

Depo-Provera: Unfortunately, depo-provera can throw off your cycles for quite some time. But you don't have to worry, you still can become pregnant.
