Plasma cell cancers: Normal bone marrow has 10% could suggest plasma cell cancers. Definitive diagnosis, however, should be interpreted in the context of other data such as immunofixation. Smoldering multiple myeloma has >10% plasma cells (malignant cells) in BM without end organ damage. Amyloidosis and some lymphoma can also have elevated plasma cells in BM.
