During and After: I had bone marrow aspirated twice. Under local anesthesia the answer is kinda - it is the most unusual sensation and feels like someone is sucking the marrow out of your hip. While it was unpleasant, it was not terrible. As a bone marrow donor the answer is yes post-operatively the areas of the hips are very sore while there is no pain while the bone marrow is aspirated under general anesthesia?
