Not necessarily: A stress test is a good test, but it is not perfect. It can detect large coronary artery lesions which cause symptoms, but it is not proof against a heart attack. Even if his stress test is normal, if he should develop severe chest pain or difficulty breathing, go to the ER. Hope this helps!
