A member asked:

How does one prevent pain from arriving on his or her lower back after doing sit-ups on a hard surface?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Use a mat: Joyce, Sit-ups on a hard surface can be a little hard on your back. Try doing them on carpet or a gym mat for better results. You could also do crunches or planks to build your core if sit-ups are giving you problems. Hope this helps!
