Lotion: Having 4 kids and 6 grandkids, the simple answer is because he can. Kids at this age explore their environment by putting everything in their mouth. You put lotion on him all the time and he sticks out his tongue to get some to explore and because it is a game to him. Fortunately it is not dangerous unless he were to eat the whole bottle.
