Ok: Birth can be a wonderful experience. If you have prepared him it can be an amazing time he will always remember. He can be at the head talking with you so he doesn't have to see the moment of birth. This is all about pre-education. Please have someone there who can take him out in case he changes his mind and wants to leave. Many children handle the experience wonderfully - they have been prepared.
