Any cause for this?: Before discussing a remedy, perhaps there is a remedy specific for a specific cause. For instance, nickel containing necklaces frequently cause a dermatitis and this cause darkening of skin. Do you wear a metal necklace? Sun exposure can cause darker skin of neck, particularly if on tetracycline related drugs. If there is no "cause" you should try a hydroquinone bleaching cream.
