A member asked:

I have a 25 day menstrual cycle but don't ovulate on day 10. my ovulation wee tests show s i ovulate on +/- 14. is this a luteal phase defect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: luteal phase defects typically have less than 10 days from ovulation to menstruation. However, your ovulation kits only measure urinary levels of LH and if only checking a level once a day, you may be positive the day before at a time not being measured. At this point a luteal phase progesterone level and transvaginal ultrasound to confirm lining thickness would be of value if trying to conceive
