A member asked:

Is waking up with cold shivers a sign of hiv. just googled reasons & this was 1. his feeling cold with pain in 1 arm, belly pain & heartburn?

Probably chills: Cold shivers sounds like chills to me. You get chills when you have a fever and your temperature is rising. Fever occurs with many common infections - the common cold, strep throat, mono, ear infections, intestinal infections, kidney infections - to name a few. If chills persist see a health care professional for evaluation. If you think that you might have HIV ask them to run a simple blood test.
