I am 3 weeks pregnant. went to my pcp today for slight bleeding and he said my cervix is open. everything i research scares me, please help!!

Take it easy: Early pregnancy can be difficult at times. While bleeding is not always a comfortable thing to see, some early pregnancies do have bleeding associated with it. My suggestion is to keep close follow-up with your doctor and rest ;this includes no sexual intercourse, and of course good luck.

Close followup: First, stay calm. You should have close followup with your OB. While cervical insufficiency can occur during a pregnancy, this is a treatable condition that can help prevent premature delivery or fetal loss. Ensure to have close followup with OB & adhere to recommended prenatal care. If it is cervical insufficiency, this is typically treated with a procedure call cervical cerclage. See OB expert
