I am talking doxycycline hyclate 100 mg cap and it is making me sick. i took it at 9 am this morning and it came right back up at 9:30 am. why?

Take with food: Did you take it with food? If so, then you won't be able to tolerate it & call your doc and let him know. He can address it best, since he knows what you are taking it for. If not, try taking mylanta or another antacid 30 minutes before a meal and then taking the pill with 8oz H20. Don't take the antacid sooner than that or it will block the effects.Try not to take any dairy with it. Or call MD.

Side effect: doxycycline can cause abdominal discomfort you may try taking it at bedtime

Its the med...: doxycycline can cause upset stomach. try to take with food and see if you have any improvement.
