Possibilities...: The flu is due to a viral infection and it will run it's course without treatment. But, signs of a possible bacterial infection that may need antibiotics include fever, sputum that was clear or white and is now green, breathing difficulties, worsening cough, etc. If you are having these symptoms, see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
