Need exam: Most likely a build up of calculus or tartar which must be removed to stop the bleeding. Could also arise from Vit. C deficiency, clotting problem, leukemia... Best get it evaluated.

See a dentist ASAP: Bleeding gums and smoking can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, advanced gum disease. Untreated gingivitis can lead to the tooth loss and other health problems. See your dentist ASAP because the sooner you treat it the better the outcome.
