Avoid as much: As possible. In general if you are worried about conception, avoid taking medications if possible. You may have particular medical ailments that require pharmacotherapy(as in medicines), and in that case, you may need to take particular medications. But always review your prescribed medications with your doctor and voice your concerns about conception.

Non essential meds: However... dont discontinue anything before speaking to your doctor. There are instances where certain medications which may pose harm to the fetus should still be continued due to the importance of keeping the mother healthy. Have a talk with your doctor about which medications you are taking and what needs to be continued and what needs to be stopped.

Depends: If either you or your husband are on any prescription medications I would check with your health care provider. I don't believe it is necessary to avoid any over the counter medications while trying to conceive but would avoid them when pregnant until discussed with your provider. Most importantly you should be taking Folic acid and avoiding tobacco, alcohol and street drugs. Good luck conceiving.

All medications: I would avoid aspirin and non steroidal anti inflammatory and all other non essential medications. If you smoke please stop
