Swollen glands: Your diarrhea may have been due to a systemic viral infection which effected you GI. The lymph nodes in your body respond to any irritation and infection by inflammation. Acutely enlarged lymph nodes in this setting are not unusual. Diarrhea has likely caused dehydration which can contribute to general inflammation. Aggressive rehydration is a good idea.
