Inflammation: Acute inhalation of this kind can irritate or inflame the inner lining of your bronchial tree. Treatment is largely supportive, but if symptoms do not go away within 24 hours you should seek out a physician who has the means of measuring your oxygen saturation with a pulse oximetry device as well as a chest x-ray. Bleach inhaled.: You should be checked soon for any chemical burns from the inhaled bleach. Shortness of breath and wheezing should not be overlooked after such exposure.
