Continue metformin: Hi. I recommend you continue your metformin at the normal dose and schedule through the colonoscopy preparation and procedure. Bottoms up!

How are your sugars?: we usually worry about hypoglycemia a lot more than hyperglycemia on that day before - especially that you'll be on clears only and may or may not be getting a lot of calories in. we usually have people take 1/2 their usual dose - more if they're poorly controlled and none if they're already pretty tight. definitely don't take it the morning of (unless again, you're running 400+...)
