Hematoma: What you are describing is a blood clott, A.K.A. hematoma from trauma to the vaginal area. You should use an ice pack on this swelling for the next 12 to 24 hours. If you are having pain you can take a medication like ibuprofen or something similar. After the first 24 hours, then you can start warm tub baths, and do this 3-4 times per day. Please see doctor if increasing in size.

Small blood clot?: most likely a small blood vessel broke. Apply some cold compress and pressure to the swelling. If it continues to grow in size, seek Gynecological help soon.
