Antibiotic: Rocky Mount spotted fever is caused by spirochete microorganism, Rickettsia rickettsii, tickborne, if not treated can lead to abnormal liver enzyme, bone marrow suppression, chronic joint pain, petechial rash or other autoimmune mediated rheumatologic condition, such as seronegative spondyloarthropathy. The treatment of Rocky Mount spotted fever involves oral tetracycline derivative antibiotics.
