See details: Bleeding on the 26th would put you on day number 13 of your cycle. This might be midcycle bleeding associated with the ovulatory process. You did not mention the type of IUD. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD contains hormone which can sometimes cause irregular bleeding. Also, infection is a possibility although I would expect you to have other symptoms. Since this has never happened before, I would suggest you make an appointment with your gynecologist for a proper evaluation.
