Have a 4mm stone 1.5 cm away from bladder it has not moved for 3 wks. have now given flomax (tamsulosin) to help it along. how long before i know if it is working?

Here are some ...: Known to urologists, some 85% of stone less than 4 mm may pass through ureter in 2 weeks, but not always. If a stone is stuck at a spot > 2 weeks without further moving, the odd to pass becomes less & less over time. But, if stone-related hydronephrosis is mild, renal function is fine, you're relatively symptom-free & willing to cope, watching up to 1-3 m is ok; few stone of 4-5 mm may still pass
