Dark spots under arm: Dark skin at your armpits can occur due to shaving, chemical irritation or ingrown hairs. People who have diabetes and are obese may have acanthosis nigricans, where pigmentation may occur at the underarms and neck. If the skin feels and otherwise looks okay, you can watch it for now, but if it continues to spread, a doctor should check it. Avoid hair removal creams and other harsh chemicals.
