No: Cancer develops in the bowel over a several year period of time and usually within a field effect. Abnormalities like skin tags or other benign lesions such as ulcerating hemorrhoids do not lead to cancer. When you enter the next decade, routine colonoscopy at selected intervals should be discussed with a GI doctor.

A tag doesn't cause: cancer. Some growths or lesions can become cancerous, but not commonly on the anus unless you are talking about HPV. Rectal cancers are typically not visible. But if you have a nonhealing lesion see your doctor for evaluation
