This may sound silly but is there anyway to help determine the sex of a baby? i'm trying to get pregnant i want to have a girl so bad

Pre conception, no: Pre-conception, no in spite of all of the books that say otherwise with douches and such. Post- conception, an ultrasound can pick up genders in the 2nd trimester. By the way, males are the determiner of the child's gender as sperm contain X and Y chromosomes and mother's can only contribute an X chromosome.

No: As far as I know there is no way to predetermine the sex of your baby. Trust me that you will be thrilled with a healthy baby of either sex once you see her or him.

You can try timing: Male producing sperms live about 3 days in an optimal environments, female producing sperms a couple of days longer. If you time the intercourse so you have 3 or more days before ovulation, the theory is that you would be more likely to have a gir.
