In simple terms what does it mean when you have high level of dehydroepiandrosterone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovarian androgens: Generally used as a test for an ovarian source of androgens causing hirsutism (hairiness) or deepening of the voice and can be associated with obesity and insulin resistance. The adrenal gland also makes it and can rarely be the problem.
