Green mucus: Sinus drainage/mucus with headache but no fever could be from a viral upper respiratory infection or allergic sinusitis. The length of symptoms is most important; if only a few days, it is safe to increase fluid intake and try an over-the-counter sinus remedy. If symptoms last over 3 weeks or if a fever develops, a doctor should check.
