A member asked:

Can any one please let me know the effects of hypothyroidism on pregnancy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: As a male, the effects of hypothyroidism are less pronounced though profoundly low levels can affect sperm production. In females, it is very important to maintain normal thyroid levels (TSH around 2) for the health of the baby during pregnancy.
