May be normal: Sometimes it takes the body several months to adjust the the hormonal changes caused by the birth control pill. If bleeding is not severe I think it is safe for you to continue and see what happens over the next few months. If bleeding is severe then you need to see your healthcare provider and stop the pill. Usually after 3 months on the pill things sort out and periods become very regular.
