Not likely: First, relax. The blood pressure is not CHRONICALLY exacerbated by resistance exercise, though it may be while doing it. Being worried about it will itself potentially raise your BP. Cardio, or aerobic, exercise will benefit BP in the long term. Your anxiety is likely playing a role in your BP measurements, regardless of the exercise routine.
