Palpitations-see doc: Palpitations can have many causes inc. a too full stomach, caffeine, medications, recreational drugs, over the counter meds, and some herbal supplements.Thyroid problems, anxiety, disturbances of the electrical system in the heart, are also possible reasons. It is always a concerning symptom, esp. when chest pain occurs at the same time. Often the cause is easily treated. Call doc or go to ER.
