Spontaneous resolve: Most ovarian cysts at your age (21 years old) are functional ovarian cysts and will resolve spontaneously. BCP will not make a cyst go away that is already present, but will prevent most functional ovarian cysts from occurring. These cysts usually resolve over 4-6 weeks.
