Lyme disease: I only know if one type of Lymes and if caught early is usually curable with antibiotics. It is caused by a tick bite usually from deer ticks and will usually cause a "target" lesion shortly after exposure. Symptoms can vary from little to very debilitating. One of my patients became wc bound until diagnosis was made and treatment was started. Can have a very profound effect on the nervous system

One yet many: Lyme is caused by infection with Borrelia burgdorferi but can manifest in many different ways. If aggressive treatment is started within days of exposure it is curable. When not treated (or inadequately treated) near onset then it is difficult to fully eradicate but it can be clinically cured, with symptoms cleared, but the Borrelia may always lurk in an inactive form & possibly recur.See comment:
