A member asked:

Why are we lonely even though we try to socialise ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Connection: Loneliness occurs when we feel disconnected from others. As humans, we are made to be in relationships. Socializing can be superficial and does not satisfy this need. To feel less lonely you need to find a person who is interested in you and wants to know you as a person. This starts usually when YOU try to demonstrate genuine interest in others first.
