Sounds like a dental abscess: See your dentist right away! Any foul-smelling odor is anaerobic bacteria growing in an abscess. If this isn't taking care of right away, it can lead to orbital cellulitis in which you have to be admitted to hospital, and receive IV antibiotics. So don't delay! Call your dentist.

Dental infection: You have a serious infection which is already spreading and can even result in death. I would recommend you go to either a 24-7 emergency medical facility or the ER of a local hospital.

Swollen face: The facial swelling and a closed eye could be indicative of a dental infection. If the swelling is also inside the mouth (gum tissue is squishy) you need to see a dentist and get on some antibiotics ASAP. Do not delay treatment as this severe swelling can be life threatening.

Infected upper tooth: Most probably you have a badly carious infected upper tooth on the side of swelling. You must see your dentist ASAP. Your infection form the tooth may be spreading in the connective tissue & spreading from cheek to under the eyes. You need antibiotics to controll the infection & need treatment for your affected teeth. If the teeth are not the sorce of infection, skin infection maylead to cellulitis.

See your dentist: to drain the dental abscess. If not treated, a serious dental abscess can eventually kill. The infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. See any dentist for examination, x-rays and treatment. Remember, the only way to cure a dental abscess is with dental treatment.
