Can taking estrogen stop menstrual bleeding or spotting in between periods if on birth control?

Need a different BCP: We do not add estrogen pills to a birth control pill we switch you to a different BCP. Are you missing any pills if you are this will cause spotting. Call and discuss with your doctor.

Maybe.: It depends on the source of spotting. If you're on OCPs (oral contraceptive pills) it's expected your bleeding with become very regular and less than before. If that's not the change you experience, you should follow up with your Doctor and ask about changing pills or having a different contraceptive.
