A member asked:

Im 9 weeks preg. and i think i possible had chlamydia before i got pregnant. could the baby already be infected? getting treated next week. is baby ok

Should be: Typically the risk is later in the pregnancy & after delivery. These include preterm labor, infections of the amniotic fluid, premature rupture of membranes and eye/lung infections in the newborn.. Shouldn't effect such an early pregnancy much, but your OB is the best one to discuss this with.
